A little while back, I volunteered to create some Firefly-esque parasols like the one Kaylee has in the first episode for the Austin Browncoats. I think they came out rather shiny, if I do say so myself...but I really can't take all the credit. After the initial planning and sketching them, I totally lamed out. Luckily my awesomely crafty mom noticed my plight and came over and saved the day. She was the one who painted them so beautifully. Now I want one for myself!
